This indicates this was number 424 of the 2 nd batch made for the Allied SF making it a very desirable gun indeed. These were made in batches of 10,000 with each batch starting with the batch number, in this case batch 2 followed by the letter T with the number after this going up to 9,999. These were without the tangent rear sights & no slot. After the initial Chinese contract run, the Inglis factory began making Hi Powers for the British & Canadian special forces.
Not only has this one remained in original condition, it is an extremely low numbered gun. If numbers & markings are in black, this is a surefire indicator the pistol has been refinished & worth much less. This meant all numbers & markings should be white, or the colour of the metal underneath.
